One of the cornerstones of Freemasonry is “Friendship”, this was very much on display as three friends took the chairs of Zerubbabel, Haggai, and Joshua for the next twelve months in Granite Chapter. Under the direction of the DC, Paul Wallace, the ceremony of installation took place in the Morely Lodge room in Leicester, with a great number of members, visitors and guests to ensure the room was full of the splendid regalia worn by Royal Arch Masons.

The Installing Principal, Steve Adams opened the evening for the final time, as he installed his successor, Mark Hancock into the chair of “Z”, who then was delighted to install his good friend Richard Barnett into the chair of “H”. To finish the trio’s installation, Richard then installed his friend and neighbour Dave Andrews into the chair of “J”.

Watching the proceedings on behalf of the Province was Provincial Grand Scribe Nehemiah, David J Highton, who was accompanied for the evening by Andrew Moore, who commented “The excellent work done on the floor, and the very convivial atmosphere at the festive board, made this a most enjoyable evening. It was very gratifying to see the Chapter in such good heart”.

The Chapter is in great spirits as it now looks to implement the recommendations of “Archway” and secure the success of the Chapter for the coming years.
